Fun workplace but too relaxed culture.
No drive towards Sales or Innovation but maintaining status quo.
Nice colleagues and good social climate
Needs more leadership, Senior Management team too soft and reconciling
Fossil Switzerland is a short structure with great people.
So as a visual merchandiser i am completely responsible for my time, region and customer management. I am the main contact between stores and Fossil corporate
There is no typical day: openings, product/brand/VM trainings, fairs, promotions or windows set up.
You always have to smile, energized, understand people but then you can obtain everything.
There are so many sides within this job.
The biggest reward is to have inspired people so they take naturally care of you product and talk with passion from your brand.
A Senior Planner position at Fossil requires a lot of flexibility and even though you are performing regular tasks on a daily basis (analyzing sales trends, inventory levels, reporting activities..), 50% of the job is made of ad-hoc activities where you have to show that you are proactive: identiy and solving quality or stock issues etc.. Being Senior Planner at Fossil is being a Planning and a Merchandise Manager at the same time, and requires financial competences, and interest / passion for the brands. The management leaves a great independence to Sr Planners, and this is truly enjoyable. The working environment and atmosphere is very pleasant. Coworkers are all very passionated about the brands licensed by Fossil, and the Fossil brand itself. If the hardest part of the job is certainly the stress you have to manage, it is largely compensated by working for a performing brand.
