Productivity is based on how many parts you can make or assemble per day.
Assembly Worker (Former Employee) –  Sturtevant, WIDecember 10, 2018
I worked on the assembly line. You know daily where you will be working and what your role is for the day. At times if there is downtime you are expected to find something to do as in sweeping, cleaning or helping at another station.

Assembler (Current Employee) –  Racine, WIFebruary 14, 2018
Very fast paced and busy but as far as the benefits they are very good and the pay is very good also. If there was a downside it would be that they work you very hard everyday a lot of heavy lifting and physical exercise
Pros
benefits and overtime
Cons
heavy lifting

Assembler/Finisher (Former Employee) –  Grand Island, NEOctober 27, 2017
No job security. Some management look good on paper but have terrible people management skills an are more micro managers and are hired for a college degree instead of earning position. Always afraid of lay-offs.

Most frustrating place I ever worked!
Assembler (Current Employee) –  New Holland, PAApril 2, 2014
All hourly workers are stupid. You don't know anything because you don't have a degree. If you are an engineer, you are also a supervisor. Doesn't matter if you have people skills or not.
Material handling is contracted out. They have their own agenda. Still haven't figured out what it is, but it is not working together to achieve company goals. .
Managers are yes men. Can't say what needs to be said for fear of losing their jobs. Need to spend all of their time chasing down parts instead of doing their jobs.
Running with less people than needed to do the job is very important.
Contracted temporary workers are treated poorly.Training is horrible. Safety record is horrible.
Tools are worn out and very difficult to get replaced.Gloves are not readily available to workers.
Suggestions are welcome but seldom implemented. Projects are started but once the ball is rolling, completion never happens.
If no one gets hurt, and production rolls along, nothing gets fixed.
Communication? Did you say something?
Pros
Music is allowed to be played on weekends. $5 off safety shoes. Football is important.
Cons

Dont work here!!!!
Assembly (Current Employee) –  Benson, MNApril 10, 2012
-Management is very poor.
-Bully/harass employees instead of being helpful.
-Make employees do jobs they were not hired for or trained in.
-If you disagree with Management, you are fired.
-Too many tiers of management for company.
-Managers belittle employee’s in-front of other employees and management!
-No respect from management to employees!!
-Supervisors that don’t know how to supervise.
-Don’t hire from within for Supervisor/Lead positions!
-Advertise jobs, takes weeks to hear back, no interview for job even if you are well qualified, then give job to someone else who has no previous experience in that department!
-3 HR people and we still don’t know what they do!!
-World Class Manufacturing??? Waste of money!!!!
-Unsafe place to work!!
-Worried more about quantity than quality!
-Work 12 hour days and weekends!
-Always running out of parts!!!!
-Paying suppliers late or not at all!
-They only have 1 supplier per part!! Should have 2 suppliers, if 1 cant make item other can!!!
-Lots of promises they never deliver on!!!!
-Very bureaucratic!!
-Vacation is frozen for use in July, when company is shut down!!
-Employee morale is very very low!!!
-Lots of red tape!!!
-If you are strong willed, don’t work here!! You are to sit back and just take the abuse!!!
-High employee turnover!!!
